Central “Adopts” a Family
Each year during the holiday
season, Central adopts a family through the MainSpring Coalition for the
Homeless in Brockton MA. Families
in this program spend time in the homeless shelter and when they obtain housing they
start out from scratch and need everything. A “wish list” is provided to
Central from the selected family by MainSpring House and Central's office staff
purchases items on the list as gifts to the family. The wish lists
include everything from shoes, clothing, towels, bedding, pans, dishes,
glasses, toys, etc... Central wraps the gifts and delivers them to the
MainSpring House. The true spirit of the season is reflected as Central
is enthusiastic and eager to help a family in need.
